On this episode of the Flyers Faithful Podcast on Flyerdelphia.com, Steve Jacot and Hal Greenblatt take a look at the Flyers' struggles heading into the playoffs, Zac Rinaldo's suspension, Vinny Lecavalier's role on the fourth line, and more.
The Flyers broke their four-game winless streak in a big way on Sunday night when they beat the Sabres by a score of 5-2. Matt Read, Zac Rinaldo, Brayden Schenn (2), and Vincent Lecavalier scored for Philadelphia, while Cody Hodgson and Mike Weber were responsible for Buffalo’s two. Steve Mason only saw 19 shots from the Sabres and blocked 17. Buffalo’s Nathan Lieuwen saved 29 of 34 Flyers shots.

This past week was full of disappointing results, but not unexpected ones for the Philadelphia Flyers. They are still in third place in the Metropolitan Division, a full two points ahead of the Columbus Blue Jackets, and just four points behind the New York Rangers for second place, with two games in hand. The important part to remember is that the Flyers find themselves just six points out of locking up a playoff spot with five games remaining.
