Andrew Hammond continued his remarkable play for the Ottawa Senators. Hammond made 34 saves. Mark Stone scored his 25th and 26th goals of the year as the Ottawa Senators defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. The win clinched a playoff berth for the Senators.
The end of the regular and for the Flyers the season period, also means the annual team awards were handed out. The team hands out six awards for the season. They include the Bobby Clarke Award (MVP), the Barry Ashbee (best defenseman), the Pelle Lindbergh Award (most improved), the Yanick Dupre Class Guy (best represents both on and off the ice), the Gene Hart (player demonstrating the most heart) and the Toyota Cup.
