Friday funnies brought to you straight from hockey’s own players, media personnel, and broadcast botches. We’ll be mucking it up every week right here, examining puck ups, puns, tweets, and more!
Earlier this week, before the Los Angeles Kings made history by becoming just the fourth team in NHL history to overcome a 3-0 deficit in the series, this particular win over the poor San Jose Sharks, to win and advance to the next round, they pulled off something similarly impressive.
Sutter confirms Greene goes in the injured Mitchell— Pierre LeBrun (@Real_ESPNLeBrun) April 30, 2014
Obviously what the Kings did, if you read the tweet above the same way I did which is the correct way of course, was have Matt Greene inhabit the body of Mitchell through the use of some type of sorcery or other. Spooky stuff! This must be how the Kings defeated the Sharks, pulling out all the stops, getting some otherworldly involved. For the record, I don't see how anybody could possibly read this any other way. If you did read LeBrun's tweet another way, you probably need to get your mind out of the gutter and into some of J.K. Rowling's biographical series on Harry Potter. That guy was into some serious stuff. Anyway, this concludes this week's Hockey Hilarity. Hope you all have a nice week and can steer clear of any and all dark magic!
